How Chains are made

How to Remove a Bike Chain
If you want to remove the chain from your bike, you should disconnect the chain that is called the breaking your chain.

Fit the new chain
Transfer the rear derailleur to a big cog and the front side to the largest chainring. You have only one release clutch mechanism on the rear derailleur.

Keep the other end of seat stay and put it on the cassette. Draw below the rear derailleur.

A Shimano chain needs an inner and outer plate and the last part of the chain while KMC or SRAM chain needs two inner plates at the end.
When you are confirming that you have got the right length, it has some movements still in the derailleur arm, divide the chain using a chain tool.

Join the chain
For Shimano chains, hold the two ends and enter the joining pin with the help of chain tool. When the pin is to the place, you may snap off its end with pliers.
For KMC or SRAM chains, take two ends of the chains and enter the connectors’ links by the hand.
Then snap the plates together, now the chain is joined. You can use the special pliers to do it.
The other way is to pedal the connector links as long as it sits on the chainstay. Hold the rear wheels for stopping it from spinning and then use pressure on the pedals as long as the link is well seated.
If the chain is added, you need to run the bike through the full range of gears to be sure it is doing its work well.

Lay the bike on the ground or on a solid work surface by keeping the chain side down. You’ve to remove the pedal from the crank to remain stable as you work.
Make a ¼ and 1/8 inch hole inside a little block of 2’’ by 4’’ dimensional lumber with a wood drill bit or a drill. The block of wood can obstruct the removal of the rivet from bike’s chain line without the hole.
Set the wood block behind the chain link. Line up the drilled hole with the help of rivet. You like to remove from the connection. Keep a little nail punch the size of the rivet or a small nail on the head of the rivet.
By the hammer, tap the nail or punch to move the rivet from the chain of the bicycle. It’s better not to remove the rivet from the chain connection.
Drag the bike chain in a place where you have slackened the fastener. Take the bike chain from the bike.

How to care for your chain
Usual lubing and cleaning of the chain expands the life of it. You can clean it by using a chain cleaner. After that, lube every roller individually by keeping the lube far from the outside of the chain. Avoid the temptation to move the chain backward and use lube hurriedly. The system is wasteful and may overload the links. Confiscate excess lube from the chain by a cloth.
At the time of cleaning the chain, try to escape driving any cleaning product or degreaser to the bottom bracket or free-hub body. Since strip, the grease from this section causes all types of problems.
Finally, always re-lube or wipe down the chain after wet rides to escape it seizing up and rusting.
