The answer: It will not unless I am ready to become much, much briefer or ride smaller bicycles. And, while that method of carrying the bike won’t function, complete the Fit does not really wow me when it comes to its bike-hauling skills.
So what could it take? For starters, I would like a rather long freight area (in the back bumper to front chairs) to ensure if, at all possible, I do not need to have a wheel off. Secondly, the freight area has to be pretty broad, so that when I put my bicycle on its hands, I will not need to reduce its chair.
The Fit’s cargo area is not very wide or long. The cargo area was just a bit too narrow to the bicycle; again, the bicycle seat was wedged against the side of the freight area.
